Bethesda has just announced that the “Fallout 4” Creation Kit has just entered open beta testing and can now be downloaded.

The beta can be downloaded through Bethesda.net Launcher for free. The kit reportedly brings the same tools that the creators used to build “Fallout 4.” The company has also launched a dedicated Wiki to help players who would like to try making mods.

“Mods and the players who create them have always been an important part of our games,” Bethesda said in a statement. “We believe that our games become something much more special, when we put the power of creation in your hands.”

“Fallout 4’s” 1.5 update will enable consoles to support mods, which can be easily accessed with the new “Mods” option in the main menu. With this, mods can be easily downloaded and installed into the system.

“For Fallout 4, our goal was to make Mods easier and more accessible than ever before — for both the creators and the players. By building an all-new system with Bethesda.net we’ve made a huge leap forward in achieving that.”

However, mods support isn’t coming to PlayStation 4 (PS4) until June, but Xbox One gamers can enjoy it earlier with its release on May.

“We have a lot to do yet, but we hope it changes console gaming the way it has changed PC,” Bethesda said.

For now, mods can be created using the personal computer (PC). “We can’t wait to see what you create,” said Bethesda.

Those who would like to help are advised to leave feedback in the forums as Bethesda plans to “update and evolve Mods and the Creation Kit” based on user experiences.

May will also see the coming of the Far Harbor downloadable content (DLC), which will bring new gameplay, base building materials, weapons, and more as previously reported on Elite Gamer. The DLC will bring the largest landmass content yet and will sell for €24.99.
