Can’t get enough of Connell and Marianne? Tune in tonight at 7pm to see stars of the show Normal People; Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar-Jones go head-to-head in Mario Kart in support of the mental health charity CALM.
The pair will take to the Rainbow Road along-side comedians John Richardson and Sean Walsh, sports stars Anthony Watson and Tyrone Mings, Youtuber Joe Sugg, and musician Tom Grennan as well as many others.
The races, hosted by Amelia Dimoldenberg, will be streamed live on the charity’s Twitch and Instagram tonight from 7pm – 9pm. CALM hopes to raise money to support their services as well as helping us all to press pause on the weirdness in the world right now and try and relax, chill out and chuck red shells at each other.
Since the beginning of lockdown, the UK-based charity Campaign Against Living Miserably or CALM has seen a huge increase in demand for its services. Simon Gunning, CALM CEO recently announced, “Our incredible helpline staff have answered 21,577 calls and webchats, and directly prevented 93 suicides.”
CALM’s free and confidential helpline and webchat are open every day from 5pm until midnight. Get in touch with them here.
