Mirror’s Edge Catalyst has seen its fair share of bad news, but after being delayed twice gamers can look forward to some good news on the game. DICE’s upcoming addition to the Mirror’s Edge series is officially available on EA Access.
You will only have 6 hours of playtime in Catalyst, but an opportunity to play the game is still an opportunity to look into. The game was meant to be available today, but NeoGAF members saw the game appear as available today.
EA Access is EA’s game service on the Xbox One that allows members early access to EA games, as well as access to any game in the Access ‘Vault’ and an additional discount on EA games. The service is $4.99 a month or $29.99 for a year — but before you go jumping into EA Access, there’s something you should know.
Beginning on June 12, the first day of the EA Play event (EA is skipping out on E3 and holding their own event), EA Access will be free for Xbox One owners for 10 days. So, you know… you might want to hang out for a bit.
If the beta is anything to go by, Catalyst has the potential to be the game we were hoping the original game would be. Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is set to release on June 7th for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
