Time: 19:00 Irish time
Livestream:Â The Game Awards YouTube Channel
What can we expect?
Geoff Keighley is again not working directly with E3 this year and has instead hosted another Summer Game Fest to offer game announcements and news over several months. It will launch in June, and will also feature a special iteration of Double Fine and Iam8Bit’s Day of the Devs. This gives aspiring developers and established developers the chance to showcase their games to the world.
Koch Media
Date: Friday 11 June
Time: 20:00 Irish time
Livestream: https://www.twitch.tv/kochmedia_hq
What can we expect?
Most likely the publisher will reveal some new titles. For example, there have been strong rumors about a new Saints Row title for months and Deep Silver has been working on Dead Island 2 for a few years. Other big upcoming titles that come under Koch Media are Chorus, Iron Harvest and Chivalry 2.
The Guerrilla Collective
Date: 5 and 12 June
Time: 16.00 hours Irish time
Livestream: https://www.twitch.tv/guerrillacollective
What can we expect?
Digital Games Festival The Guerrilla Collective returns for 2021 with two separate shows this year. On the first two Saturdays of June, the show celebrates smaller games with a variety of trailers, announcements, demonstrations, and interviews. For obscure games you might not hear about otherwise, this is the show you want to see.
Netflix
Date: Friday 11 June
Time: 17:00 PM Irish time
Livestream: https://www.twitch.tv/netflix
What can we expect?
Netflix’s event is mainly dominated by shows that are based on games. The Witcher season 2 is expected to get a new trailer and we’ll get to see more of the Resident Evil CGI series.
Ubisoft
Date: Saturday June 12
Time: 20:00 Irish time
Livestream: https://www.twitch.tv/ubisoft
What can we expect?
Ubisoft Forward started last year after the cancellation of E3 2020, giving the publisher a chance to announce its games. We actually got two separate Ubisoft Forward presentations last year, so there’s a good chance we’ll see another Ubisoft Forward later this year. Far Cry 6, the remake of Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, Rainbow Six Quarantine, and VR-based Assassin’s Creed and Splinter Cell projects are in the works, as is the sports game Riders Republic. Beyond Good & Evil 2 is also still in development and can show itself.
Gearbox
Date: Saturday June 12
Time: 22:00 Irish time
What can we expect?
Gearbox has announced that it will be showing something new this E3. Most likely the reveal will be made during the Summer Game Fest. Gearbox will go deeper into the details in its own press conference.
One of the biggest rumors about Gearbox is that the studio is developing a Borderlands spin-off around Tiny Tina called Wonderlands. Whether it will be shown during the event remains to be seen.
Return Digital
Date: Saturday June 12
Time: 21:30 PM Irish time
What can we expect?
Devolver Digital, a publisher of smaller games best known for releasing games like Hotline Miami and My Friend Pedro, will “probably” hold its conference on June 12, according to their Twitter account. In general, these conferences don’t contain a lot of information about upcoming games, but instead, AAA publishers’ conferences are ridiculed with lots of name-calling and even the occasional death.
Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase
Date: Sunday 13 June
Time: 18:00 Irish time
Livestream:https://www.twitch.tv/xbox/
What can we expect?
This is basically the E3 livestream from Microsoft and Bethesda. The former company acquired the latter company earlier this year, which is why the live streams are being merged.
According to Microsoft, the presentation will run for an hour and a half and will include “everything you need to know about the epic game lineup resulting from the Xbox and Bethesda partnership, the incredible games coming to Xbox this holiday season, upcoming releases for Xbox Game Pass and more”.
It is not yet known which games will be shown, but the illustration shows Halo Infinite is present. Fans speculate that the planet seen in the illustration hints at Bethesda’s Starfield. Games like Everwild, Perfect Dark and a new Fable have already been announced and may also get a place in the presentation.
PC Gaming Show
date: Sunday 13 June
Time: 22:30 Irish time
Livestream: https://www.pcgamingshow.com/
What can we expect?
PC Gamer and GamesRadar will once again host the PC Gaming Show and Future Games Show, respectively. These events tend to be more of a talk show format, especially the former, and focus on a variety of games. Expect a ton of indie titles here (for PC of course) and a deeper dive into gameplay than some of the other presentations.
Square Enix Presents
Date: Sunday 13 June
Time: 20:15 PM Irish time
Livestream: https://www.twitch.tv/squareenix
What can we expect?
The 40-minute show features the announcement of a new game from Eidos Montréal, an update on Babylon’s Fall from PlatinumGames, a closer look at Life is Strange: True Colors and Life is Strange Remastered Collection, and details on the Black Panther – War for Wakanda expansion for Marvel’s Avengers.
The Future Games Show
Date: Monday 14 June
Time: 24:00 Irish time
Livestream: https://www.twitch.tv/gamesradar
What can we expect?
The Future Games Show features a mix of indie and AAA titles across all formats, including PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Nintendo Switch, PC and mobile.
Warner Bros.
Date: Monday 14 June
Time: 22:00 Irish time
Livestream: https://www.twitch.tv/e3
What can we expect?
While we didn’t expect Warner Bros to be on the E3 2021 schedule, the ESA has confirmed that the gamemaker will play a role on June 14.
Back 4 Blood is expected to be the focus, the Left 4 Dead-esque shooter. The developer has announced that the games Hogwarts Legacy, Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will not be shown at the E3 presentation
Limited Run Games
Date: Monday 14 June
Time: 21:00 Irish time
Livestream: https://www.twitch.tv/limitedrungames
What can we expect?
It has been revealed that there will be more than 25 physical game announcements during this showcase. At least one of the games expected to be featured is the recently announced LucasFilm Games: Zombies Ate My Neighbors.
Take Two
Date: Monday 14 June
Time: 18:15 PM Irish time
Livestream: n.n.b.
What can we expect?
Details about the presentation of Take Two are not yet known.
Capcom
Date: Monday 14 June
Time: 22:30 Irish time
Livestream: twitch.tv/e3
What can we expect?
Capcom will give a presentation on Monday, focusing on upcoming games. Officially, Capcom has the Great Ace Attorney Collection, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, Resident Evil 4 for Oculus VR and Pragmata on the release list.
Capcom says the presentation will include at least The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, updates to Monster Hunter Rise and Resident Evil Village.
Earlier this year, a data breach at the publisher potentially revealed more upcoming titles. For example, work may be underway on Resident Evil Outrage, a remake of Resident Evil 4 and Dragon’s Dogma 2. It is unclear whether some of these titles are part of the presentation.
Nintendo
date: Tuesday 15 June
Time: 17:00 PM Irish time
Channel: https://www.youtube.com/nintendo
What can we expect?
Nintendo has announced that it will host an approximately 40-minute E3 2021 Nintendo Direct focused exclusively on Nintendo Switch software, most of which will be released in 2021, followed by approximately 3 hours of gameplay in the Nintendo Tree House Live show.
With such a long period of time without information on games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, Metroid Prime 4 and Bayonetta 3, now seems like the right time to give some updates. There is a chance that we have already seen the successor to the Nintendo Switch before E3, so expect a lot of news around E3 about titles that will use the improved hardware.
Bandai Namco
Date: Tuesday 15 June
Time: 22.25 pm Irish time
Livestream: https://www.twitch.tv/e3
What can we expect?
Although Bandai Namco Entertainment has a diverse portfolio, the focus is on Elden Ring. The anticipated new IP first appeared in 2019, developed by Dark Souls creators FromSoftware and written with help from George R.R. Martin. This year many are hoping for a return, probably with a new trailer or a possible glimpse of the gameplay. Other big titles to look out for include Tales of Arise and Scarlet Nexus, both of which are expected to be released in 2021.
E3 2021 Awards show
Date: Tuesday 15 June
Time: n.n.b.
What can we expect?
During the show, various games, developers and publishers will receive awards, including for the ‘Most Anticipated game of E3 2021’. In addition to the awards presentation, viewers of the award show can also expect new announcements. Some premieres will be shown as well as new announcements surrounding Game Pass.
Steam Next Fest
Date: 16 to 22 June
Time: 20:00 Irish time
What can we expect?
Steam is celebrating E3 in their own way with the Steam Next Fest. “A multi-day celebration of upcoming games. Discover and play hundreds of game demos, watch developers’ live streams, and chat with teams about them in upcoming games on Steam.”
EA Play
Date: Thursday 22 July
Time: 20:00 Irish time
Livestream: https://www.ea.com/ea-play-live
What can we expect?
EA was one of the first major publishers to break away from E3, choosing to host its own EA Play festivities at the same time. The company will also host an EA Play event in 2021, this time it will be a virtual event on July 22. The Battlefield 6 reveal will take place the month before, so we’ll likely see some gameplay during EA Play. Extended gameplay demonstrations will be used throughout the event as EA hosts festivities beyond a simple press conference.
PlayStation
PlayStation was not on the list of E3 partners when the ESA revealed its plans for the show. This would be in line with what Sony has been doing in recent years, as it has offered State of Play presentations without hosting a major event. We’ve already seen a State of Play presentation on Horizon Forbidden West and there’s a good chance that more information about other PlayStation titles will be released later in the summer.
