EA will be showing eight titles with ‘more surprises’ promised. FIFA 18, Star Wars Battlefront II and Battlefield 1’s ‘In the Name of the Tsar’ DLC will likely hoover up a lot of the attention. However, EA also has games to show for Yanks and the tall in the form of Madden NFL 18 and NBA Live 18 along with mobile efforts based on the mega franchises.

Bait ‘n’ Switch

An interestingly listed-as-separate show is FIFA Switch. That wily old internet hasn’t bought EA’s lines about the ‘most social FIFA ever’ and a separate presentation being lined up will not inspire confidence. It’s also worth noting that Xbox’s longstanding favour with the FIFA series is over.

Fueling Speculation

Casual petrolheads can rejoice at Need for Speed: Payback’s showing. ‘Payback’ being the natural title for a series that has used most of the relevant words in the English language already. Guessing the next one is Need for Speed: Autobahn.

What You Came For

But what will REALLY have bums in seats at EA Play is SW Battlefront II. EA have given us some relieving details along with a now-three-month old ‘leaked’ trailer to whet our appetites but tonight will (hopefully) the first time we have substantial deets to chew on.

Still a Thing

Finally, The Sims 4 and The Sims mobile will be present at EA Play. Mobile will be playable on the day with a cheeky presentation for us tonight. While The Sims 4 is not showing off new content but rather tickling aficionados at Fan Fest.
