Lara Croft made a huge impression when she re-surfaced in the Tomb Raider reboot released in 2013. The Lara Croft you were sold was not the tough “Angelina Jolie” warrior but a more realistic, genuine portrayal of a young woman struggling to survive while ensuring the safety of her family. Lara has gone through amazing transformation across the two games and the character development is some of the best I’ve seen in any game in a long time. While playing as Lara you form a personal attachment as she overcomes various challenges and encounters and it’s a great feeling to be able to witness all that change first hand.
