Greetings fellow gamers, it saddens me to see that the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), one of the world’s largest gaming conventions has ended this week. Within those few days, many bomb shells were dropped leaving fans ecstatic from all the games that were showcased or announced. If you happened to have missed one of the seven press conferences, fear not as we provide you with the highlights from each conference. Please keep in mind that this is only a digest version of what i thought so without further delays, lets begin:

Bethesda

This may be Bethesdas’ first press conference in E3 but they really outdone themselves. They started the showcase with Doom 4‘s gameplay and different modes which looked really gory but judging from the audiences reaction, they loved it. Then again, who doesn’t like seeing evil aliens get blown up by big guns and chainsaws? Trailer for Dishonored 2 was released, the gameplay and graphics looks amazing. The Elder Scrolls: Legends (strategy card game) was also announced but sadly, only character designs were shown. Fallout 4 was really the one thing that people were waiting for but Bethesda decided to put it at the very end. It was completely worth the wait though because my god, the attention to detail from this game is stunning and the level of customization it provides is incredible. If you want to know more about Fallout, check out my colleague’s lovely article here.

Microsoft Xbox

This conference was packed with so much announcement i don’t even know where to begin or how they manage to fit in more then 20 games in 1hr 30mins. Majority of the games were from the other companies in the conference so i’ll just write about Microsoft’s original contents. They started the conference strong with Halo 5 guardians and Warzone multiplayer which kept the fans happy enough. Recore had it’s world premiere and judging from the trailer, the game seems to be set in a futuristic world where a young girl befriends a robot as they fight against… bad robots? I’m not too sure but it got a lot of attention. New contents to Xbox 360 was then revealed such as a new function called Backward Compatibility and their new Xbox One Elite Controller. Forza 6 also had it’s premier and the graphics were so realistic, it really felt like i was the one driving in that car seat. Sea of Thieves was introduced, an MMO adventure game about pirates with a lovely soundtrack. The new HoloLens was also introduced and it looked fantastic, you could really see Minecraft in 3D like an actual hologram. Lastly the Gears of War 4 was showcased and gameplay was shown.

Main Highlights:

EA (Electronic Arts)

They started their conference showing the new remake of Need for Speed along with some gameplay and it sure brought back memories of the first game, new features were added to the game such as an open world environment and an upgraded customization option. Star Wars: The Old Republic (MMORPG) new expansion was next revealed showing great cinematic animations and storyline. Unravel was then showcased and the concept of the game, which came from a ball of yarn was so simple yet creative, props to the indie studio Coldwood who developed it. Live demo of Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 was shown but let’s me honest, not many people really cared about it. EA Sports was then showcased which includes the new NHL 16, NBA 16, FIFA 16 and Madden NFL 16, lots of dedications were put into building HD face scanning tech and live motion capture. The Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes and Minions Paradise mobile/ tablet game were announced which actually doesn’t look bad. Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst had it’s world premiere and it really lived up to it’s reputation. Star Wars: Battlefront was last shown which was really what most people cared about and we got to see actual footage and gameplay which was awesome.
